What a Game

Today was Jackson's first soccer game. He was all pumped, got dressed in his team shirt and shin guards, and we were off. We had a hard time finding his team because his coach ended up not being there, but some other girls were there to take her place. For some reason, Jackson didn't like this and he sat out for awhile until he decided that his new coaches were okay and he wanted to play. He was a machine. I don't know think he was close to the ball that often, but he tried hard and ran fast. He was pretty entertaining. It seemed like he was all over the place and then when he would run out of bounds, he would make a loud sound like his "brakes" were screeching. At one point he decided he was tired and it was hilarious. I can't even explain what he looked like-kind of walking slow, hunched over, with his tongue hanging out, making all sort of weird faces. Andrew's mom, Kaitlin, and Caroline came to watch him play and I think they all got a kick out of it. Ellie had a good time too, but she would have had more fun if we just left her alone to do what she wanted to do. She was making new friends and she like to wander off with them. Also, she decided she wanted Granny's Diet Coke and just took off with it. Luckily Granny was nice enough to let her have it. So all and all it was a good time and I think Jackson is ready to go again next week. It should be nice and cold then since our game is at 9am.
