I would have to say that Jackson thought he had a pretty good birthday. He woke up to his birthday banner above the fireplace and he was already excited. Then he got to take Thomas cupcakes to school. Ellie and I joined his class for snack time and he came down to the lunch room wearing his birthday crown with a big grin on his face. His class sang Happy Birthday to him and then they spent the rest of snack time asking me if they had blue lips, tongues, and teeth. After school we went to El Vaquero for lunch-Jackson was very excited. It is kind of sad to go there now since the FBI raid. I only recognize one or two workers. But on a happier note, after we got home there was a knock at the door and Jackson opened it to a lady holding a bundle of balloons from Amanda, Todd, and Carson. They entertained Jackson for awhile as he was anxious for his party to start. We did have a melt down once when Lissy called to wish him a Happy Birthday and she asked him what he wanted for his birthday. He mentioned he wanted a "scoop and dump tractor" which is like the tractor he has but it also has a scoop on the front of it. He has been talking about this the last few days, so I'd thought it would be better to tell him now that he wasn't getting it instead of him getting upset about it when he was opening his presents. He threw a big fit and ended up in his room, but we did get to have a good talk about being thankful for the gifts he does get. That evening my parents, Kaitlin, Caroline, Tom, Mary, Matthew, and Kristin came over to celebrate. We had dinner then on to the main part-the presents. Jackson was very excited about everything. Kaitlin and Caroline gave him a bag full of different things including a whoopee cushion which provided some entertainment for a while. Although Ellie was not a fan. At the end of the night they sat her on it and it made it's noise and then Ellie started crying, terrified. Jackson also got some Thomas trains and track sets, Cars hotwheels, a baseball mitt, and "Alvin and the Chipmunks." Then it was time for the big gift- his Spiderman bike. When he saw it he put his hand over his mouth in excitement. He rode it real quick but then went back to his trains. He wasn't with his trains that long before he decided he wanted to go back to his bike. I think in the end he was very satisfied with his gifts. It was hard to tear him away to eat his cake. He ate the icing off a piece then it was back to the trains and he played with them until ten when I finally got him in his pjs and off to bed. As he was going to bed, he asked me if he could have another birthday the next day-oh the joy of being a kid
