We had a slower week this past week. It was nice because I was able to get some other stuff done including painting a dresser I got at an antique store to go in Ellie's room once she moves out of the nursery. It took a little longer than expected, which is usual, but it looks great. The weather has been beautiful except for some rain. Jackson spent most of the day yesterday out at the ranch with Andrew helping him fix fence. He told Andrew he wasn't tired at all after they got back to the truck but then he was asleep a couple minutes later. Jackson then proceeded to come home with some ticks in some iffy places.
Since it was so nice out we had dinner outside tonight and it was great. Hopefully we'll get a few more dinners like that before it gets too cold. The kids finished off dinner by watching some caterpillars-at least I think that is what they are. They are not fuzzy though and Jackson has caught several and put them in his bug box and they die within a couple hours. Beats me. So this go around, Jackson decided to leave it out of the box, but try to feed it some grass-thus the following picture of Jackson and Ellie looking at a pile of grass. There is a caterpillar underneath it.
Then Grover came out to play and ended up in a precarious position. . .
Not to worry, he made it down safely.
