A Week of Visitors
This week we had several visitors in town. We also had another exciting event-the flower girl dresses for Kaitlin's wedding came in. Ellie was very excited and I think she has tried on each girl's dress. They are really cute. So on with the rest of the week, Jackson had his first soccer practice on Monday and one of his distant cousins is on his team- Mark Cahalan's boy, Dominic. The wind was horrible out at the fields-oh the joy of spring soccer. Luckily his game was canceled on Saturday due to the predicted winter storm (it ended up not being as bad as predicted but we still did get some ice and snow). After practice we headed to my parents for dinner with Karen, Kelley, Colin, and Makenzey. Colin and Makenzey are always so good with the kids. Jackson was very excited to have his cousins in town. The next day (and the rest of the week) we worked on Kaitlin's wedding invitations-the end is in sight. Then Sara and Bella came into town on Wednesday. Ellie was very excited to see Bella and kept talking about how cute she was and that she wanted to pet her. Bella was always very entertained when Ellie was around and she was a little upset when the kids headed out to the ranch on Thursday to hang out with Granny and Papa. I think they had a fun time out there because they came home with mud on their jeans. They made it back in time to join us for Sara's birthday dinner Thursday night and then sadly Sara and Bella headed home on Friday. But not to worry, because Lissy showed up a couple hours later. When Ellie woke up, Lissy got her out of bed and Ellie was very excited to see her. They immediately painted her fingernails and toenails hot pink. Ellie was in heaven. Autumn and Briley came in Friday night but we didn't get to see them until Saturday when we all went to see "Monsters vs. Aliens." Me and the kids and Lissy, Molly, Autumn, and Briley all went. Ellie and Briley didn't pay too much attention to it but Jackson loved it and had fun with the 3D effects. Then we stopped by my parents on Sunday after church and lunch and we had missed Autumn and Briley again. Luckily they came back by to see us before they left and Ellie and Briley were so excited to see each other. The hugged and ran around and danced with Papa. So by the end of the week, we were all pretty tired. We were able to finish up assembling the main invitations for the wedding though. Now we just have to stuff and address envelopes. Oh the fun!
