Where is Spring for Spring Break

Jackson has been on Spring Break this week, but we have had lovely cold weather. We all started feeling better, well almost. We think Jackson had some kind of virus because he would complain of a headache every now and then and he also vomited a few times over the course of three days- twice in the middle of the night and then one morning in between. The first time he did it, he came and got me around 2am and told me he thought he had thrown up. So we went upstairs and there it was. We both just looked at it for a bit and then he said, "Okay, I'm tired and am going to go back to bed." He slept right through me trying to clean the carpet right outside his door. He felt fine in between his episodes, so I'm not quite sure what it was. To start out Spring Break we went to Wal-Mart, which Jackson rarely gets to do these days. I usually go while he is in school. So he got to get a toy and we got some fingerpaint for both of them. Then to top it off, they got to pick out a cookie or donut from the bakery. The next day we spent some time in the library and came away with some "five-year-old books." Then that night the kids had a sleepover at my parents. Jackson requested to sleep with Kaitlin and it was very sweet of her to let him since he had just vomited the night before. We told her to lay a towel on the bed and luckily nothing happened. The big day was Wednesday-our trip to Columbia. We originally had to go to order our bridesmaids dresses but Jackson and Ellie also got to go to Chuck E Cheese for the first time. Jackson has been begging to go but I always told him it was far away. I wouldn't even tell him it was in Columbia because then he would want to go anytime we went shopping. He had a good time playing the games and getting his tickets and we were in and out of there in less than an hour. So it was pretty painless for the rest of us. Today the kids got to go to Pizza Hut for lunch with Granny and then hang out at the ranch and tomorrow Ellie and I head out to Kansas City with my parents to help Andy and Autumn with their house. My main contribution is watching Briley. She has been hanging out at the house for the past month while Andy and Autumn fix up everything, so she is probably getting kind of bored with it. Jackson was going to come too, but Andrew has convinced him that they will have great fun staying at home for a guys weekend. Here are some pictures from the past week. . .
