Girl Time

This past weekend Ellie and I went to Kansas City with my parents to help Andy and Autumn out with their new house. I didn't really help out at the house that much, so I contributed babysitting services and food. Andrew and Jackson stayed in Kirksville and had a "bachelor weekend." They ate at La Fuente two nights in a row and then La Pachanga the next night. I think they had a lot of fun doing guy stuff. And in the end, they even had the house cleaned up and a load of laundry done. I was very impressed. Ellie and I on the other hand had a girls weekend. I watched the girls at Andy and Autumn's apartment along with Molly (this was her third weekend there so I think she wanted a break from painting). Ellie certainly played differently than she does with Jackson. She loved having a tea party and acting like she was serving food. Her and Briley played pretty well together and had a fun time. It was all girl (in other words-no wrestling). Everyone else worked very hard at the house. Andy and Autumn painted all the trim and every room. There was also light fixtures and faucets to be replaced and a lot of cleaning. My parents were there three weekends in a row-they are troopers! I think they were pretty worn out, but they just kept going. I didn't get to see the house before they started everything (just a few pictures) but I think it was quite the transformation. Andy and Autumn have been working hard to make it their own and have done a good job. It is a cute house in a fun neighborhood and I think they will be very happy there.
