Down on the Ranch

Andrew worked his cows today so Jackson went out with him this morning. When I got up this morning and was eating some cereal, I heard my phone beep and saw that Andrew had left a text message to bring lunch for 11 at 11:30. I guess the little restaurant that they usually go to in a little town called Elmer was closed, so Andrew was without lunch for all of his help. I had planned to do my big cleaning today,all the bathrooms, floors, etc, so I rushed around trying to get that done. We had a bit of a time crunch because we would have to leave around 10:30 to get out there by 11:30 and there aren't many options for lunch at that time. So Ellie and I ran to Hy-Vee and the deli didn't have much out yet so we had some little sandwiches made and got a bunch of other stuff- I ended up with too much but I definitely didn't want to run out of food for 11 guys. Kristen Toney, David Rouner's girlfriend, met up with us and helped us take the food out to them. Jackson was looking like a real cowboy when we got out there. I think I will be a little nervous when he is old enough to get in there and help because Andrew will think he is old enough sooner than I will. Ellie liked seeing all the dogs and eventually her and Jackson found a mud puddle to throw rocks in and jump over. Ellie had her lovely crocs on since I thought they would be easy to clean. She didn't really fit in with all the cowboys, but she looked cute.

I forgot to mention that Ellie had her 18 month appointment the other day and she is doing well and staying on track- again her head is in the 90th percentile. She is 33 1/2"-90th percentile, and 23lbs-50th percentile.
