For New Year's Eve, we headed to The Pear Tree with some of my family. It was Lincoln's first time and he got to enjoy a tiny bit of peppermint ice cream. It was very good and a nice way to end the year.

Bella really enjoyed the onion rings.

After dinner we headed to Kevin and Emily Powell's house for a party they were having. Jackson and Ellie had fun playing the Xbox and Andrew played a little poker. But we had to head to my parents before midnight because my dad was shooting off some fireworks and the kids wanted to see them. Jackson made sure to bring Twister so we could all play. Sara was a very good sport and got down to play even though she is 20 weeks pregnant.

Lincoln was out by the time we got to my parents. But Andrew did stay up to ring in the New Year which hasn't happened in a few years.
Jackson and Ellie had a great time and didn't have any trouble staying up.
The fireworks were kind of funny because my dad set them pretty close to the house and they started going off quickly-Lissy made a beeline for the house.

We stayed the night at my parents-all of us in the basement. The next day Ellie and Bella got dressed up in their pretty skirts and played tea. Bella was always making sure to take care of "Collin" aka Lincoln. She has a cousin on Ryan's side that is close to the same age as Lincoln and his name is Collin. No matter how many times you told her it was Lincoln, she would call him Collin-or "Col".

Last night we had dinner at our house for some of the family and had some pulled pork sandwiches that were a hit. I'm supposed to post the recipe on here sometime. Ellie and Bella played in the basement for quite a while and Molly helped Jackson learn how to play one of the games on the old Game Cube my mom gave to him since they have the Wii. Well the end of the Christmas season is here. Sigh... Sara, Ryan, and Bella left today. Lissy will be the last to leave tomorrow. The kids have had fun playing with their new toys (when we were actually at home which hasn't been that much) and seeing family. They got to spend part of the day out at Granny and Papa's today and had a good time.We plan on taking down Christmas decorations tomorrow and Jackson is back in school on Monday.
