Visitors from Down South

Well this week Amanda and Carson came to visit. The kids had a great time and it was good to see both of them. We hadn't seen them since Halloween and they have both grown (you look very cute Amanda). Amanda may feel big, but she looks very good for carrying twins. She does have a slight obsession with food though. Ellie and Carson spent a lot of time either playing or fighting over this.

One night we had them all over for dinner. There is always a great lesson in sharing when cousins come into town. So the kids played and the others watched some of the State of the Union and commentary-oh you know there was a lot of conversation going on about that.

Then Friday night we went to the Courtwarming game to watch Molly cheer. We got to see her perform her routine and she did a great job. The kids had a good time and even decided to break out their dance moves a little. Jackson was doing all his break dance moves right there on the sidelines as the boys did their warmups. It was pretty funny but I think our family was a tad bit embarrassed.

I wanted to get a picture of Ellie and Molly in their cheerleading outfits.
Right after I took this picture, this boy, Foster, stepped in and wanted his picture with them too. This is for you Kaitlin. (He was in the class that Kaitlin worked with for her student teaching. He also loved playing with Lincoln at the game. )Amanda and Carson left Sunday morning and drove all the way back to Dallas. Thankfully they made it back safe and sound this evening. I know Amanda has to be exhausted. Thanks for coming to see us! Our next visit will be so exciting.

Sunday the kids were able to get out a play a little. The got to ride their bikes and just run around. I even bundled up Lincoln and took him out for a little bit.

Also this weekend we went to check out Andrew's office and see how it is going. I tried to label a picture, but it is kind of confusing. This is on the north side of the office and one the south side is a file room, work area, storage, bath, and small kitchen. The upstairs is just going to be open for now and Lissy is going to use it for awhile for a little studio space.
And one last funny story. We have had trouble the last week or so with Jackson peeing his pants while he was playing the Wii. He just didn't want to take the time to go to the bathroom and just couldn't hold it any longer. So we told him he couldn't play the Wii for a week. You know Andrew could be considered a strict parent but he totally surprised me when just the day after we gave Jackson this punishment he decided it would be okay if Jackson played the Wii, but only with him and he would put a time limit on it! Did I mention that Andrew has a slight addiction to the Wii? He can sometimes be a softee. And he surprised me with some roses this morning-so sweet. He jokingly told me they were for Valentine's Day-at least I think it was a joke. And he also told Ellie that one of the roses was for her. She was so excited! He sure does love us.
