Only 4 Days Left

That is what Jackson excitedly told me this morning when he woke me up. We have a pretty excited household around here. I forgot to mention that Jackson had his Christmas program at school on Tuesday. He did a great job and it was really sweet to watch. The kindergarten boys even had a special part in the front when they sang, "I'm in the Lord's Army." It was hard to get any good pictures though.Thursday was another busy day with Little K and small group and Andrew was out of town buying cows-he didn't get home until 1:30am! Then on Friday Jackson had his Christmas party at school and I helped take his class to the nursing home again to do some caroling. The kids headed out to the ranch with Andrew on Saturday. They helped Andrew check the cows and got to decorate some cookies with Granny.

I actually finished all my wrapping on Saturday so the kids helped me bring up most of the presents to put under the tree. It took some strategic planning to get it all around the tree in a compact space and making sure the ones we need to get to first are out front. The kids love trying to find their presents. Ellie has even learned to recognize her name for this purpose. After dinner Saturday night, we headed over to the ice skating rink. My parents set up a little rink out on the pool deck and the kids were so excited to try it out. My dad was nice enough to go out and skate with them and they loved it.

And finally today we headed out at night to see the living nativity at one of the churchs in town. And wouldn't you know it, my parents pull up at the exact same time. We actually saw my dad at Home Depot after church today also. The rest of the day I got caught up on some work from the office and hopefully won't have to do any more during before Christmas and Andrew put together some shelves in the basement for me and headed to the office to get a little work done. Speaking of the office, Andrew's new office is going up. The framing in done for the first floor and almost done on the second (which we are actually not finishing right now). We are very happy to be seeing some work getting done. I'll post a picture whenever I get one.
