Christmas is Fun with a 5 Year Old

We are having so much fun with Jackson and Christmas this year. I feel that we are at the peak with him and it is so sad that his friends will probably soon be talking about how Santa is not real. But right now he is a big believer and just loves every aspect of Christmas-the decorations, the baking, the music, Santa, giving gifts, receiving gifts, celebrating Jesus' birthday, the music, etc. The other day when he was brushing his teeth and finishing up getting ready, I heard him singing "Santa Claus is Coming to Town." Just belting it out. So when he came down, I told him I thought he did a great job and I wanted to get a video of it. Here is a little clip. He didn't do all of it-he had a few little verses but said he would do them after school. We haven't got back to it yet, but I still really like this one.

After over 200 cookies baked, 60 pretzels dipped in chocolate and sprinkled, a batch of peppermint brownies made, and some cupcakes baked for Jackson's class party, I am pretty much done with my Christmas baking. We put together some goodie baskets to take to some of our neighbors and I had Jackson and Ellie take the Barbie Jeep to deliver them. We put a red bow on it and turned on the radio station to Christmas music (yes the Jeep has a working radio) and sent them off. But Jackson put a kink it in my cute picture of them delivering the baskets-he decided to wear his Spiderman ski mask that my dad gave to him last year. Oh well. At least they had fun and said, "Merry Christmas."

Oh and I can't forget my other sweet boy. . .
