Jackson had his first field trip today. We went to the Vo-Tech for the petting zoo. They had several different types of babies-pigs, sheep, deer, llamas, chicks, goats, etc. Most of the kids rode the bus, but I had to take Jackson since he wasn't 4 yet. His friend Jack isn't four either, so he got to ride with us. Jackson was very excited. Ellie got to go too and she was very happy to see all the animals. She was upset though because I wouldn't let her down. It was mass choas in there as Faith Lutheran had 3 classes there and there were also kids from the primary school there that were running around everywhere. I think Ellie and Jackson both had fun except for it was -1 degrees outside. On the way back to school Jackson initiated a conversation with Jack about what animals he liked. They were too cute. But sad to say, Jack's family is moving at the end of the school year. Once he got back to school Jackson decided he didn't want to go back in, so I let him stay with me because he had a pretty rough night last night. He just kept waking up crying and after getting up with him at 12, 2, and 3, I finally had him come down and sleep with me. That didn't help much either as he kept tossing and turning. He is usually a very good sleeper, I just hope this isn't the beginning of bad sleep habits. I'm wondering if part of it is that Andrew is out of town. Andrew is never away overnight. I was more used to being gone with my old job and Andrew was always the one home. Jackson kept saying he missed him and wanted him to come home. This should be a fun few days as Andrew is doing a big trial in Palmyra and could be gone until Friday night.
