The rest of the week was filled with all of our normal activities and and that includes watching Andrew leave for work. Lincoln loves to go to the window and wave goodbye to him. I thought this was too cute-I love the way he puts Tadbit around his neck sometimes.
Ellie had dance pictures on Saturday. She was so excited to be able to put on her dance costume and she looked so cute. I didn't get any pictures though. Jackson and Lincoln came along with us, since Andrew was working, and Jackson finds it all so boring. I do feel that he should have to endure some of Ellie's activities since she has been going to his for as long as she can remember :-). The weather hasn't been the greatest lately but we did have a couple nice days and we have discovered that we can take (short) family bike rides. So far we have just tried going around the block once because I'm not sure if Ellie could go much further right now. I'm sure Andrew and I look super cool on our beach cruisers, but the kids love it.
This past week has been spent gearing up for Easter at home while Andrew put in a lot of hard hours at the office getting ready for a trial that he had Thursday and Friday. And the exciting part is that he won! He was so relieved for him and his client. I was so happy for him. To pass the time at home while he was at the office we did some different things including going through our Ressurection eggs to learn the story about Jesus' death and resurrection and his sacrifice to save us. We also colored some eggs. It went pretty smoothly as Lincoln was kind of satisfied just watching Jackson and Ellie.
Jackson also had his first baseball practice on Tuesday. Of course it was raining outside, so they had it at the church. Should be an interesting season and his first season with KBSA. It will be a totally different experience than what he has had with tee ball. But we aren't done with tee ball yet as Ellie gets to play this year. She is so excited to be able to use her new pink glove. And then in other news, poor Lissy had some of her photography equipment-a camera, most of her lenses, chargers, batteries, etc-stolen out of her car last week while she was in Dallas. It was horrible and I feel so sorry for her. A while back I wanted to surprise her and I ordered her a vinyl banner for her business. So to try to cheer her up, I hung it from the balcony of Andrew's office (and her studio?) so she could see it when she came into town on Thursday. I had to pop the screen out of the windown and climb out on the balcony to put it up while my mom watched from the parking lot to let me know if it was centered. It is kind of hard to see from the road because the letters are a lighter color but I originally just meant for her to put it up in the studio and possible use it for things like Red Barn.
Jackson didn't have school on Friday so Leah invited us over to decorate eggs. The kids had a great time making an Easter craft and dyeing and coloring their eggs. She even fed us lunch before we headed over to my parents to see everyone coming into town for the weekend. Ellie got lucky Friday night and got to have a sleepover at my parents. Jackson was going to stay too but Andrew convinced him to go home with him so they could go turkey hunting the next morning. And they headed out early in the morning and it was the first time I didn't get a picture of them. Andrew had put some face paint on Jackson and he was being grumpy about it and wouldn't take a picture. I didn't fight him too much because I was tired and hadn't been feeling well with a sore throat and such, so I just let them go. Maybe I'll get one this next weekend if they go out again.Lissy did jump right back into work and she even did a little practice shoot with Ellie. She was hoping to have Briley and Bella join her too but it didn't quite work out. Ellie was more than happy to pose for her though and that is exactly what Ellie did. She just kept striking poses. I'm not sure if it was exactly what Lissy was after but it sure was funny and cute. I do love the old bed though. It was actually my mom's old baby bed.
Saturday evening we all got to celebrate Briley's 4th birthday with a fun superhero party. Briley is a little bit of tomboy and doesn't go for the usual girly stuff, so superheros it was. Autumn and Andy did such an awesome job with the party but I don't think I took any pictures of it. They did have felt masks cut out that the kids could decorate which was so fun. They also made capes for themselves out of felt. We were supposed to dress for the occasion and luckily Ellie had an outfit. I bought her a supergirl outfit last year on clearance after Halloween because that is what she wants to be this year. She was so excited to wear it and Jackson finally got caught up in the excitement too and had Molly take him back to our house to get his Superman outfit. He ended up with his ninja outfit though.
Lissy had them do superhero poses. They were so funny.
Bella was a little timid about the whole thing but she finally decided to put on a mask and get a quick picture. But then she decided her cousins were weird. 
Then Awesome (or maybe Awkward) Andy made his appearance complete with Ricky Bobby boxers.

Easter morning rolled around quickly. We decided to go the early service and then meet up with my family for brunch. So it was a quick morning for the kids. They were up around 7 and quickly found their Easter baskets. I also quickly realized I left my camera at my parents so Andrew kindly ran over there to get it. So I didn't get any pictures of the basket hunt but did get some of them opening a little present from us. Lincoln got a set of plastic golf clubs that are sure to cause some sort of injury and Jackson and Ellie got the butterfly garden again and are eager for me to send off the certificate to get our caterpillars.
Then it was time to get ready and take a couple quick pics before heading out the door.
After a great church service, we headed over to my parents for a delicious brunch and the Easter egg hunt. There was some stiff competition this year and I forgot my running shoes but I didn't let that stop me. Lissy has some pretty funny pictures that my mom took with her camera of both of us sprinting around the yard.
I was mildly successful but didn't find the silver or golden egg. These lucky girls did.
After the hunt we quickly headed over to Napolis to have lunch with Andrew's family. By the end of all of it Lincoln, Ellie and Lauren will crawling on the floor under the tables but they were staying entertained and we were able to have nice conversation. But now we are on to another school week that included Jackson's music program and Molly's senior prom. And I am a tad nervous because I was given the responsibility to give Molly a spray tan. Kaitlin and Zane will be moving into their new house near Des Moines so she won't be able to be there. I watched Kaitlin do it a couple of times and she coached me as I sprayed Molly Saturday night for a practice round. I think Molly turned out okay so hopefully we get the same results this week.
