Amanda headed back to Dallas on Saturday so she missed out on the big blizzard. Jackson got out of school early on Monday and the snow really started coming on Tuesday. Andrew came home and took the kids out to play. He thought it would be fun to do some "warm day" activites. So in a matter of 5 minutes he tried to play some basketball, slide, swing and run through the backyard.
Then they came inside and acted like our tub was a pool.
Andrew went out that night to get the mail out of the mail box since the door to the box was open and we were afraid the mail would blow out.
This is Andrew the next morning. It took him around 4 hours total to scoop out our driveway. 
Since we may not see this much snow for a while ( at least I hope so) we got the kids all bundled up to go play in it for a little bit.
That is Lincoln getting lost in our driveway.
Ellie made a good effort with her scooter but soon gave up.
And Lincoln was a little confused about the seasons and thought he needed his lawnmower.
Poor Jackson-all work, no fun.
My dad surprised us and came by a couple days later and brought along his new snowblower. He was able to take out the snow on Andrew's side but we had to get someone to come by with a plow to get the "mountain" in the middle of our driveway. Andrew was a little offended I called someone to finish the driveway after all of his hard work, but with the temperatures we have in the forecast, I knew that snow wouldn't be going anywhere soon.
Thursday we had some friends over so people get out of the house a little bit. Ellie wanted to use my camera to take of picture of her princess dolls. I didn't realize that she took it downstairs with her and spent about 20 minutes taking pictures. Here are just a few of them. She posed the princesses in quite a few places. Lissy, you might have a new second shooter.
I was surprised to find out Thursday afternoon that Friday would yet again be a snow day. My mom called Friday to see if the kids wanted to have a sleep over that night. I didn't tell them until it was time to go because I wanted to surprise them. Ellie was very excited and said that 4 year olds don't cry at sleepovers. Jackson, on the other hand, wasn't too happy about it even though he had just been asking about having a sleep over the night before. Andrew took them over and by this time, Ellie had decided maybe she wouldn't say be staying since Jackson wasn't. Jackson finally told my mom, "I just don't feel good." So he stayed for a little bit and watched a movie then Andrew brought him home. He had a little bit of a fever. Ellie surprised us though by wanting to stay and she had a great time. Jackson was supposed to have a basketball game but since he wasn't feeling well we skipped out. Ellie had an exciting day though as she got to go to Gracie's 5th pink poodle birthday party. She had a great time and the party was so cute. Trent even dyed his dog (I think it was some sort of poodle) pink for the party.Now we are just waiting to hear from Kaitlin and Zane that she has gone into labor. She is due in just a week, so hopefully any day now. And hopefully the weather will be good from now on. We don't need anymore snow days.
