It is still COLD

I am so ready for spring now. I am ready for the warmer weather so the kids can get outside and play and we can clean out our nasty garage. But I guess that will have to wait. Last week the kids were out of school on Monday so we planned a little play date with Tony and Abby and Jackson and Ellie were very excited to see them. Then after that Jackson got to go to his first basketball practice. I think we should have a very entertaining season. On Tuesday night, I got a little break and got to go out to dinner with some friends. We had a great night and I came home to the kids bathed and already in bed. The rest of the week was business as usual. Lissy came into town on Friday so we had her over to dinner that night since the rest of my family went down to visit Sara. Jackson and Ellie provided the entertainment for the evening playing on Jackson's Paper Jamz guitar and singing along. They did a duet for us and some solos. Here is a little bit of the duet. They were super cute. They did it for Lissy earlier and she said they really got into it.

Lincoln wanted to sing too.
Jackson had his first basketball game Saturday morning. It was so much fun to watch him play. He has what we like to call "happy feet". I admire his coach for all his patience he has in coaching this team. Here is a little "highlight"video of the game.
Later in the afternoon I went to a baby shower for Tisha and baby Violet. It is still very exciting that they now have a sweet daughter. After the shower, I stopped by to see Lissy and I grabbed some dinner to bring home to everyone. Lissy joined us for a sleepover and I think Ellie kept her up late. It was snowing again Sunday morning before we headed to church and was still snowing when we got out. It was a great day for soup and my family stopped by on their way into town that evening to have some soup and sandwiches. They also brought along Amanda and her kids and Briley.
Monday was back to school and another basketball practice. We were all ready to go to Molly's ballgame in our orange and black (Ellie even had her cheerleading outfit on) but then found out Molly was sick, so it was a no go. So then on Tuesday, Lincoln and I went to the store and then stopped by my parents and picked up Carson and Briley. We took them with us to the YMCA for a program they have where the kids can play around with some toys in the gym. Then they got to surprise Ellie by helping me pick her up from school. They all had some lunch and then it was play time. While the kids were plyaing I put up our Valentine's decorations.Amanda picked up the kids before we had to get to get Jackson from school and also took Ellie with her. Lincoln and I took Jackson to his hair appointment then headed over to my parents for dinner. After dinner, Andrew and Jackson went to the high school wrestling meet. Jackson had never been to one before and Andrew's friend, Kevin, is the head coach. At my parents, Lincoln was very excited to hear the Papa was making cookies and made sure he got to help.Carolina enjoys her meals. She was even lucky enough to get some of Lincoln's leftovers-Amanda said to just leave them on the tray and she would probably eat them. Yum.Ellie and Briley spent part of the evening watching Mamma Mia and also had a little dance party on top of the coffee table. And Lincoln was kind enough to share the mixer with Colton. It took a little coaxing, but then he let Colton chew on the cord. Aren't they sweet :-).
