So Kaitlin went into labor late night on Valentine's Day (her due date) and her and Zane were blessed with a sweet little boy, Owen, the next afternoon. He weighed 8lbs and was 21" long. My parents and Zane's parents made it up there in time to welcome him into the world. He is such a sweetie. Lissy got up there on Thursday and started his photo shoot. Check out her
blog to see more of his super cute pictures.

Before Lissy headed up to Iowa she made a pit stop in Kirksville. Caroline and Molly watched our kids for us Tuesday night while we went to a K-Life board meeting and she was at our house when we got back. They were all going through a big pile of boys clothes Lissy picked up on her way to Kirksville.
Jackson had a basketball game Thursday night and then I went over to the church to help set up a rummage sale that was being put on by the local MOMS Club to help raise money to supply foster kids in the county with suitcases. Then it was all about packing and baking and we headed out for Iowa Friday afternoon. Little Owen was so precious. I helped Lissy with the second half of her photo shoot the next day. Here is Owen taking a little break and soaking up some sunlight.

Everyone brought food and snacks, so I felt like I was constantly eating. Ellie and Lincoln enjoyed a wonderful lunch of chips and salsa.

Andy, Autumn and family showed up around lunch time. Kaitlin and Zane were so proud of their little boy.

Then the kids were waiting around for the Sedlaks to show up. They had a 7 hour drive.

Still waiting...

And they finally made it (with more food)

The kids were so excited for them to get there because that meant we could go over to the hotel and go swimming. The best part about it for us was that Andrew decided to stay another night. He was going to head back to Kirksville with Lissy Saturday afternoon but he just couldn't stand the thought of leaving us, so he stayed. Yay! The pool was great for the kids. It had a zero entry with little fountains and a palm tree that had fountains too.

Ellie loved splashing around.

Jackson didn't want to get out and same with Lincoln. He found a new-found independence roaming around the pool. But you had a keep an eye on him because he kept wanting to slip into the deeper part.

And these cuties hung out around the little fountains for quite a while.

Up next was pizza in the hotel lobby and then bowling. Baylor, Brady and Papa got to hang out together.

Check out Ellie's form-awesome.

But she successfully knocked down a few pins and was super excited.

Lincoln really wanted to play. He hadn't had a nap all day and was up earlier than usual so he didn't really like people telling him no.

Jackson was upset we couldn't get a lane with gutter guards (one was actually being used by a group of middle-aged men) and got a little frustrated with his ball ending up in the gutter.

Then it was time to turn down the lights, turn on the black lights and hand out hi-liters to the kids for Cosmic Bowl. They loved it.

After the kids expended enough energy we called it a night and headed back to Kaitlin and Zane's house for one last snuggle with Owen.

Ellie loved holding Owen and she was very proud of herself.

We said our goodbyes that night and headed back to the hotel. We left the next morning and Lincoln slept almost the whole way home because he was so exhausted. We got home in enough time for the kids to play outside for bit, for me to get unpacked and laundry done and for Andrew to go to work (after a short nap of course). The kids didn't have school on Monday so we just spent the day getting stuff done around the house and playing with friends. Then Jackson had his last basketball practice. His last game is this Saturday and he really wishes the season could be longer. He has really enjoyed it and this is the first time he isn't ready for a sports season to be done.
And I almost forgot, today is Zane's birthday so HAPPY BIRTHDAY ZANE! Hope it is a great one
