Here's a funny story about Jackson. His favorite meal right now is lemon chicken. He wants it all the time. Well I made the other day and he was very excited. He also has a fall festival coming up and one of the things we have to do is submit a recipe for a cookbook they are compiling, so of course we did lemon chicken. I gave it to his teacher and then Jackson asked to see it. When she asked to put it back in the folder he said, "Can I just look at it for a little while?" And then when I picked him up, he showed me a picture he drew of him eating lemon chicken. His teacher said they were told to draw anything they wanted with the word "the." I guess Jackson had lemon chicken on the brain.

Ellie is still enjoying being the older sister during the day. The other day she had a dollar my dad had given her so we got her a little princess doll at the store. When we got home she sat down to eat some grapes and set her doll beside her and said, "You get to watch me eat grapes."

Then we went downstairs and got out the paints. Ellie was very excited. She didn't want to quit.
Then Friday night we had a little cookout. The LaBeth's and our new neighbors, The Valtos, came over. We got our firepit out and cooked hot dogs and s'mores. The kids had a great time and it was fun to get together.

For our neighbor, Melissa, and her daughter, Kaitlin, it was their first time ever doing this.

Last night when I was putting the kids to bed and I left Lincoln on Jackson's bed with Jackson while I was getting his bottle ready. I got the bottle ready and I still didn't hear any crying so I quickly picked up around the house before I headed back upstairs to get Lincoln. When I got up there Jackson was talking to him and show him some books- "This is Where the Wild Things Are Lincoln." It was so sweet. Lincoln really loves his brother and sister. I don't have any new pics of him but he is still super cute and makes everyone feel good by giving them big smiles and coos.

Then this morning Kaitlin and Zane came to visit us and they brought along the newest member of their family, Max. He is really cute and a sweet dog. Jackson and Ellie had fun with him, but I am still not convinced about getting a dog of our own.

And one last note-Happy Birthday to our brothers, Matthew and Andy. Both of them are celebrating their birthdays today
