I need to do posts more often, because as I sit here tonight, I can't remember much of what went on this past week. I am sure there were some things I wanted to mention but we have had a few rough nights and my memory is foggy. So we will just start with Thursday, which was Lissy's birthday. Her and Kaitlin both came into town and we celebrated with dinner and cake. Of course, Ellie took her place on the birthday girl's lap. The kids were pretty disappointed with the whole present part of the birthday because Lissy mainly got gift certificate-type things so they weren't fun to open up.

Lissy and Kaitlin picked Jackson up from school on Friday and took him and Ellie to Dairy Queen-they were both very excited. Then Friday night ended up being kind of rough. Lincoln is still getting up at night and Jackson also got up and vomited twice during the night. He first came down around 2:30 and said his stomach hurt. Andrew set him up a little sleeping area by our bathroom and thankfully he made it to the toilet both times. But between the two of them, we felt like we were up most of the night. Then Saturday, we all tried (unsuccessfully) to get some rest before we headed to the wedding of one the kids I grew up with in our old neighborhood, Trent Barnes. The wedding was also Lissy's first time to do wedding photography. She even got Molly to help her out by being a second shooter for the ceremony. Lincoln did well at his first wedding and fell asleep during the ceremony. It was a beautiful wedding and Lissy said Trent and Ashley were a very sweet couple and so easy to work with. I saw just a few pictures from the wedding and Lissy got some really good shots. Here she is at work at the reception.

The reception was out at Jackson Stables and it was a wonderful night for all of it. Jackson was pretty tired from his long night, but Ellie was so ready to dance. While they were doing at the wedding party dances, Ellie would dance on this little block at the edge of the dance floor. When it was time to start, she found Addie and Gracie and her and Gracie just held hands and smiled at each other probably at least a minute before they started dancing.

Ellie was having a great time, but we decided we should probably get Jackson back home and in bed. It was a good thing we left because as Jackson was walking up the stairs in the garage when we got home, he vomited again. We put him in our room again and readied ourselves for another long night, but he didn't get up at all. Lincoln still did though. Andrew was the great husband and cleaned up the mess and hosed down the garage. Speaking of Andrew, tomorrow is his birthday! We plan celebrating by having family over for dinner and pumpkin pie. His present is in a big box, so the kids should have fun helping him open it.
And here is one last picture. Lincoln discovered his "friends" this week. I have always loved watching our kids discover the animals on the playmat. Lincoln has started watching them move and was even smiling and cooing at them. So sweet.
