Last Days of Summer
We have been trying to enjoy these last days of summer before Jackson heads back to school. We have spent some time at the pool and Jackson's latest feat is jumping in and going under. Here are a few pics-he wanted one of him actually going in the water and one of his karate kick. And little Miss Ellie just swims away. Lincoln has only had his toes in the water so far.

In preparation for school, Jackson and I went and got his school supplies. We ordered his backpack and lunchbox online-St. Louis Cardinal ones. He was very excited about them when they came in and couldn't wait to get his supplies in them.
Lincoln has had some more firsts this past week. His cord finally fell off and so he got to get a real bath. Ellie and Jackson were very eager to help as they always are. Ellie is very good about getting diapers for me and throwing away the old ones.
Yesterday my dad gave Lincoln his first sucker. Lincoln loved it-he had a good grip on it and wouldn't let go.

Lincoln is still trying to figure out his schedule, but we are getting there. He is eating more and starting to fill out a little bit. His arms and legs are still pretty skinny though. He is also becoming more alert. He always seems to make funny faces at Andrew. Just today Andrew was talking to him and his breath smelled like onions from his salad at lunch and I swear he wrinkled up his nose. Tonight we are eating dinner at the Truschingers, the couple who led our bible study last spring. And then tomorrow Ellie, Lincoln, and I are going to a baby shower. On Sunday, Jackson has his open house at school where we meet with his teacher and he gets to look around his room. It is hard to believe he starts in less than a week and he will be gone all day!
