First Day of Kindergarten

Today was Jackson's first day of kindergarten and he was very excited. Last night we got everything together-put the school supplies in his back pack, got his sleep mat out, and got most of his lunch ready to go (he wanted to make sure I didn't make his sandwich until today). He was all ready to go this morning, but did have a minor breakdown when I told him he couldn't bring his laser pen to school. I told him he would have to ask Mrs. Fouch if he can bring toys to class first and he did not think that was a good idea. Here is the picture we took soon after that conversation-Ellie was all smiles.

I was able to get him to kind of smile for the next ones and I had to ask Ellie to step out for a picture.
Jackson wanted to carry all his stuff in to school by himself and his little brother kept a watchful eye on him.

Once inside, he found his new cubby, got all his stuff put away, and got started playing right away.
So did Ellie. There was no hesitation and he did not care at all when we left. He still had that same excitement when I picked him up at three.
