A Little Trim

Well, I decided on a whim to give Ellie a little trim. I had been thinking about getting her hair cut because it is getting kind of messy looking (aka- mullett), but just never made an appointment. Then Friday night, she came down from her bath and I just decided to do it then. We got in our shower so the mess could just wash down the drain. It took me maybe a minute and I just took at least 2 inches off the back. Her curls bounced back and things are starting to even out.

Before

After

Then Saturday we had Jackson's last soccer game. It was actually our first cold game for the fall season. I think Jackson peaked a few games ago when he scored his two goals. He was back to just running around the field this time. I guess it is a good thing the season is over for now. After the game we ate some lunch and went to Hy-Vee to pick out our pumpkins. They are a funny looking bunch this year. Then later that day I made my sugar cookies for our Halloween party next weekend. I feel like I have a bunch of things I want to make this week, so I decided the cookies were something I could freeze.

Amanda and Carson got into town on Sunday so we had my family over for dinner. Carson quickly made himself at home and was exploring all of our cabinets. Ellie hasn't really bothered stuff yet, so we haven't put on any safety latches and Carson quickly figured it out. After dinner, the grandkids decided to take on Papa and they all spent a lot of time wrestling around on the floor.

I think Papa was pretty worn out by the end of all of it. Here is Jackson trying to save Carson. I didn't have a good angle, but he was holding him upside down by his waist. Carson thought it was great.
