Fire Station Field Trip

Things have been slower around here lately. We've been outside enjoying the weather and have even enjoyed several dinners out on our patio. I've been planting bulbs the past couple of days, so it will be interesting to see what comes up next spring. Today Jackson got to go to the fire department. He woke up very excited this morning-"Aren't you so excited Mom?" We were able to meet him there and take a few pics. Ellie wanted down and just blended right in with the other kids. She loves acting like she is a big kid. They got to look at their living quarters (Ellie liked the weight room) and then the headed out to see the trucks. One of the guys was dressed up in his suit with the face mask on and everything. He had that Darth Vader sound and the kids were a little nervous. It was at this point that Ellie wanted me to hold her and it took a while for the kids to start moving closer to him. The got to sit in one of the trucks and watch a guy come down the pole. Jackson thought it was really neat. Well it is time to go and put Ellie to bed. She is actually sitting on the bar stool behind me right now. She likes to get up behind me and brush my hair and sneak a few hugs.
