This and That

To start, I forgot to post this picture of Ellie. The other day she was pretty cranky in the morning so I gave her her bunny and Jackson got her paci for her. She rolled around on the floor a little and the next thing I know, I look over and she is asleep. She hardly ever falls asleep except in a bed. It was pretty cute.

Amanda and Carson have been home this week so the kids have had fun hanging out, as much as a 3 month old, 1 year old and 3 year old can hang out together. Jackson has these moments when he decides he wants to hold Carson or feed him. Ellie on the other hand gets a little jealous whenever Grandma or Papa hold Carson and she things they need to be holding her too. We went to see the house the other day too. I haven't taken Jackson and Ellie to it in awhile and now I know why-drywall dust. They were totally covered in it by the time we left. But it was exciting to see the house coming along. Almost all the painting is done. They just need to a second coat on some rooms. I really like it all, but Andrew thinks it is a little bright. I told him to just wait until all the flooring, trim, cabinets, and furniture is in and they will calm it down a bit.

Today I made some treat to give to Jackson's teachers and a few other people and these included my sugar cookies that for some reason my family loves. They are just slice and bake with canned icing but they sure do please. I told everyone to not eat them until I knew how many I needed for my gifts, so they all were giving me grief. I ended up having about a dozen left over that they were all very eager to eat. Anytime Ellie saw someone eating one, she would make her "more" sign. She desperately wanted a cookie. We were all watching TV and Ellie was off somewhere being super quiet. I went into the kitchen and there she was with two cookies in her hands and red and green icing all over her hands, mouth, and pjs. She somehow got the container off the table without making a sound and proceeded to enjoy her treasure. Jackson managed to snatch one before we got them away, so both of them ended up in a second bath for the night. Thank you to Mom and Amanda for helping me clean up the mess.

One last note- Ellie no longer takes bottles. She was down to one before bedtime and last week she just didn't show much interest in it and only took a couple ounces. So we just quit giving it to her and she has done very well. I think she has questioned it a few times since Carson has been back. She has eyed his bottles a few times and held them, but that is about it.
