Fall has certainly set in as it is getting colder outside and the leaves are all over the ground. One of the advantages of living with your parents is having a dad who starts your car for you a little before you have to leave so it is warm for you and the kids. So nice. Jackson and Ellie have been keeping busy and of course have been keeping Andrew and I busy. Jackson has loved having all the new toy catalogs coming in the mail. He will sit down for around 30 mins (an extended amount of time for Jackson to sit down) and just pour over these catalogs. He even wants to take them to bed with him. On another note, I got my first "bad boy" talk from Jackson's teacher today because he scratched a boy who was trying to take his train away from him. The boy has a scratch down the side of his face. Andrew and Papa say that is what he gets for trying to take the train-just kidding of course. He got set in time out at school and again at home. He has promised to "use his words" next time because that is what his teacher said to do. So we'll see where this goes.
Ellie is getting so close to walking. The most she has taken is 4 steps and that was only once. She's gotten pretty good at taking one step between the coffee table and the couch. Ellie has also become a little possessive. We were at Hobby Lobby the other day and I had a roll of ribbon and hair clip with feathers on it. She decided she wanted to hold them and started crying when I took them away to pay for them. So after we paid, she got them back and they have entertained her for the past few days. She sometimes takes me list at Wal-Mart and won't give it back. Something else she liked during our shopping trip was going up and down the escalators. Whenever we would get on it, she would smile and start giggling. It was so cute.
So now we are on to the weekend. Sara and Lissy are coming back because we are having a wedding shower for Hannah Hagan so it should be fun. I will also officially become a hunter's widow this weekend as deer season starts on Saturday. Andrew has a cold right now, so he is trying to sleep as much as possible so he will be ready. He looks forward to this all year.
