Back from the Beach

We got back from Gulf Shores last night after driving 16 1/2 hours. Actually Andrew did all the driving while I got to take care of Jackson and Ellie's needs. Jackson did very well, but Ellie is not the best traveler. We turned her around to face forward for the trip so I could get to her easier, but Andrew asked if we could turn her back around because she was so loud. Other than a tiring trip there and back, we had a great time and it was nice to get to see Andrew's family. The weather was wonderful and Jackson and Ellie both enjoyed the beach. Ellie's appreciation for it seemed to dwindle each day but that may have been because she was missing her morning nap each day and on the third day the wind was blowing so much it sometimes kicked up the sand and Ellie didn't like the sand pelting her. Jackson made some friends on the beach. Actually, he just went up to random kids and declared that they were his friends and proceeded to play with them. Such a friendly boy. The last night we were there we took family pictures. Jackson and Ellie weren't the most cooperative, but their cousin Lauren sure looked cute. So here are some more pics.
