Lincoln decided it would be fun to drive the Jeep by sitting on the floorboard.
I got to enjoy a night out with friends before things started getting busy again. We had tried to get together over the summer, but it never worked with everyone's hectic schedules. And Ellie got some girl time too when she got to go to Kansas City for the weekend with my parents for one of my cousin's weddings. Briley and Bella were both there and she had a great time playing with them, watching Briley's soccer game and dancing at the wedding. She also got to go with me to another doctor's appointment because she wanted to hear the heartbeats. I was hoping it would help her bond with the twins and she is starting to get more excited about them. We think we have decided on names for them-Miles Robert and Bennett Michael. And I bought my first things for them the other day... 
Ellie was excited to get her new soccer socks (she still doesn't think it is fair that she has to use old soccer cleats) and wanted to get outside and practice.
Both of the kids have been enjoying school. Ellie is always excited when I drop her off and pick her up. She loves learning. Last night she was doing weather time with me and she was wondering when she goes back to school. And by looking at Jackson's school work, it appears he is doing well. He has had two spelling tests so far and and has gotten 100% on them both. He is also working on his negotiation skills according to his teacher. One day he came home and started taking pictures of some of his stuffed animals and had me print them off for him so he could take them to Lori Ann and she could decide which ones she wanted in exchange for some of her beanie babies. He was so excited to show me the chameleon he came home with but I think it took a little convincing. We have cut off the negotiations talks for now. While Ellie and Jackson are at school, Lincoln gets some alone time and I think he likes it. One thing he looks forward to is when we go to Aldi's, he gets to put the quarter in the cart and then he gets it back when we return our cart. But other than that, he usually isn't too fond of the stores. He is always telling me to "go that way" and points to the way we should turn to go to my parents instead of Wal-Mart and we I turn to head to Wal-Mart he starts whining. Here are a couple picture of Lincoln staying busy around the house. His red cowboy boots are his shoe of choice and I go with it because he puts them on by himself, so one less thing I have to do.
He also loves being able to go out to the ranch with Andrew. The kids have been going out the past few Saturdays. It works out great for me because I get a little break which means I get to clean the house without interruption. And last Saturday I helped with the food pantry again. We doubled the number of people that came through which was great. And while I stay home, Andrew usually sends me pictures of what the kids are up to.
And I usually get one like this when they are on their way home.
And I had to include this picture of Jackson and Andrew in their matching ninja shirts that Lissy got for them. 
This past Thursday, Andrew and I celebrated out 10 wedding anniversary. We actually celebrated the night before by going out to Pear Tree. We spent some of the time reminiscing on some of our favorite memories of our time together which is actually 18 1/2 years including our dating years. We had talked about going on a trip for our 10 year, but that was several years ago and life happens. I gave him a luggage set instead with a picture of Italy on it that said, "Someday...but for now we will enjoy our many blessings." We made sure to get a picture before we headed out to eat. I was joking that we needed a before and after picture-one from our wedding and one from that night where we showed up at my parents with me and my big belly, Lincoln in his John Deere hat and red boots, Jackson in his ninja costume and Ellie in her mermaid costume (we were looking through Halloween stuff seeing what I had for Lincoln and they convinced me to let them wear their outfits from last year). But the kids scattered and we didn't get the picture. Ellie did get in on one with us though.
On Thursday I actually helped Lissy with a newborn shoot for the Heeren's. It was a long shoot, but Brynley did very well and it was all so cute. I left there and picked up Jackson from school and then headed to my parents to get in our last swim of the season. We had some friends over and had a good time. It was hot though-almost 100 degrees. I was exhausted by the end of the day. Luckily my parents were making dinner for Molly and her roommates, so we got to enjoy too. We tried to go swimming on Saturday but by the time we got over to my parents, it was starting to get dark and then it started raining. Yesterday was beautiful but we did have to spend some time indoors. Andrew and I put up some more shelves/clothing rods in the nursery and Jackson's room to get ready for Lincoln to move upstairs and to provide a little more space in the nursery for two babies. Then Andrew had to head to work and I had to do some office work too. Jackson and Ellie spent some time playing with friends and managed to find some mud somewhere and somehow they both misplaced their shoes and had mud all over their feet too. After dinner, Andrew took the kids out to practice soccer while I cleaned up and then we had an impromptu s'mores roast. We had some wood leftover from last fall and I actually had some stuff to make s'mores (Amanda gave it to me a while back when I mentioned they sounded good but I never let myself buy the stuff for them). Lincoln tried the s'mores by their individual pieces and decided he just liked the chocolate. 
We finished up our weekend with a barbecue at Joe and Leah's. It was a great time hanging out with some great people. The guys played a bocce ball game that went out of their backyard and down our street and finally ended in the dark. It was a wonderful way to end the weekend and have some fun before things start getting busy this next week.
