We spent some time at my parents on Thursday working on some stuff for the Disney trip and on Friday we tried to get Bella to come over to our house so Sara could have a little bit of a break. Even though she had declared me her favorite (Lissy did not like that one at all and immediately called Bella up to talk about it :-)) she wasn't having anything to do with it. I tried telling her about all the exciting things we had at our house and she would either respond with "I have that too" or "I don't like that". So we decided to go ahead and have Sara and Brady come also and hopefully next time she will realize it wasn't that bad and maybe come by herself. Ellie and Jackson don't get too nervous about all of that now and even got to spend the night with my parents on Saturday night.
This weekend has had pretty yucky weather-cold and rainy. So we have spent most of it inside. Jackson decided to try out my parents' Wii Michael Jackson game. I think ever since he realized Walker liked Michael Jackson, he thought he may be okay too. He liked dancing to "Bad" and some random song about the ghost of jealously. It must have been one of his later songs. But Jackson sang part of it for us and really thought he sounded like Michael Jackson. I even heard him singing "Bad" in the shower. Jackson has also enjoyed reading lately. One day last week he decided to just start reading "The Monster at the End of This Book" and he did a great job with it. I ordered him some new starter reading books and he is very excited about them. Jackson also gave me a great Mother's Day gift-actually the best part was his card. It was a fill in the blank card and he said that I was awesome, that I liked going to Disney World, that sometimes I worked out, that I always packed his lunch and the thing he loves about me the most is that I make his bed (only when we wash the sheets-he does it the rest of the time but I guess he really likes it when I was the sheets). Sara said he did a great job with his phonetic spelling. It just made me smile.
And lastly I have to share about Ellie and her sweet prayers. I would love to record some because they are so sweet and I just love the little voice she uses when she is praying. She thanks God for her friends and family. Tonight she also said, "You are the best and you take care of all of us. And thank you for dying on the cross for our sins that is why you are the best and we love you." She has also called God her favorite and the likes. Someday I will remember to record them.
