St. Louis Trip

This week started out with some swimming with friends and then on Tuesday Lincoln had his first official hair cut. I have trimmed it a little myself before, but this was the real thing. So of course we headed to the Paragon. Kim styled his hair a little before the cut.
He did a great job and spend most of the time smiling and talking to people. It may be hard for some people to notice (you can tell more from the back) but I think he looks pretty cute.Wednesday morning we had some more visitors in our backyard. There were two fawns, but I could only get a (poor) picture of one.

Then Wednesday afternoon, Zach invited Jackson to go with him to the Aquatic Center. Jackson was very excited. First they got some lunch at McDonald's and played around a little and then they headed to the pool. When they first got there it was guard break time and then they got to swim for just a little bit before some kid pooped in the pool and their day was done. Leah ended up taking them to my parents' pool for the rest of the afternoon. I was excited on Wednesday because I got my big pictures in that Lissy took. First there was our new family picture. I love it!

And she also took some quick pictures of Jackson for his room which is now complete and he really likes it.
We got some bad news Wednesday night. Joe Vincent (Zach, Kate and Alex's dad, Leah's husband, and our youth pastor) was in a mountain biking accident out in Colorado Springs. He was out there with some kids from the youth group. He ended up breaking his C1 vertebra in two places, having a skull fracture at the base of his skull, and some sort of shoulder/arm fracture. Leah flew out there and has been with him since. He had a halo put on and is pretty uncomfortable but is expected to make a full recovery. So prayers are definitely in order for him and his family.

We had Zach and Kate over to play Thursday to hopefully give their grandma a little break.

Friday we headed to St. Louis after lunch for a Cardinals game. It was Lincoln's first game and even though it was hot we had a good time and they won! Here are a few pics.

Bella got fruit snacks stuck on her during the drive to the stadium.

Lincoln did a pretty good job. Lissy did take him out for a little bit when he got a little cranky but other than that he enjoyed the noise and excitement and spent a lot of time just eating his snacks and throwing out a few dance moves every now and then.

It was also little Brady's first game (oh don't you love the picture Lis ;))

The next morning we hit the zoo. We tried to get there early so it wouldn't be too hot but after our late night we ended up getting there around 9:30. We made it around to quite a few animals before the kids were starting to get a little restless and we were all getting pretty steamy.

Then we headed back to Sara and Ryan's for the kids to rest up a little bit. My parents and Lissy headed to a wedding in Columbia of a family friend at which Lissy was doing the photography. Andrew, the kids, and I then headed to the Magic House. It was crazy busy. I would like to go again sometime when it isn't as busy but the kids still did have a good time. So in 24 hours we hit up all three attractions and we got home Saturday evening. Now we are on to preparations for Lincoln's first birthday Sunday!
