Some of Our Week Beyond the Babies

I just wanted to do a quick post of what else we have been doing this week. Monday was our last swim lesson. Ellie still isn't swimming yet but she is definitely more comfortable with the water. Jackson swam around 10ft by himself so the lessons have definitely paid off. I was also able to pick out some new plants for our landscaping out back. My mom was kind enough to watch Ellie and Lincoln for me so I could get everything picked out. Then Caroline watch them for a little on Tuesday so I could get some flowers for my pots and I got those all put out. Of course we had the excitement of all the new babies on Tuesday and Wednesday. We had someone come in on Wednesday and do a little landscaping in our backyard along the back of the house. I meant to get some pictures but totally forgot, so I'll get some later. Then we headed out to Tom and Mary's Wednesday night for dinner. Annie and Lauren were in town so it was good to see them. There was a big surprise for the kids (that Annie and Tom had a great time putting together)-a trampoline. It makes me a little nervous but the kids had a great time on it.

Look at that team work putting the safety net on. The kids also enjoyed time on the porch swing and climbing the trees. And for some reason they decided that Ellie was a vampire and she would hide in this box and then chase the other kids around.
Then on Thursday Jackson had his last Little K until fall. He has had a great time with K-Life and even mentioned today out of the blue that he would miss me when he goes to Kanakuk. We also had small group Thursday evening which should be wrapping up soon for the summer also. And then today we spent some time getting ready to head out to St. Louis tomorrow. You can't go visit a new baby and her busy, tired parents without treats. I also decided to cut Lincoln's hair-again no pictures. He was getting a little bit of a mullet on the back so I trimmed it up. Lissy and Caroline came over to help me put up some new pictures in Jackson's room. We are in the middle of redecorating it and still have several things to finish with it but this was one part I was excited about. The back picture is one I took at our first game at the new Busch stadium and Lissy took the three front pictures. Then Lissy and Caroline decided to start putting together the bunk beds and I helped Lissy finish them. Jackson was very excited to see all of it. I meant to get a picture of him in the bed but we ended up spending most of the evening at Andrew's new office so we were in a hurry to get to bed tonight. And speaking of Andrew's office, it is almost all done and it looks great. He is so excited and I'm so happy for him. The outside is almost done. There is still an awning that will go over the front door and exterior lights. And I think almost everything is done on the inside. So we just sat in there this evening discussing furniture placement and where to put pictures. Lincoln had a great time crawling around a new space even though the floor was covered in dust. I think Andrew's secretary, Donna, is going to come in this weekend and clean everything. I made a list of cleaning supplies for Andrew and I think it overwhelmed him trying to find everything in the store. So once it is all clean and we have some furniture placed, I'll take some more pictures.

So tomorrow the kids and I are heading to St. Louis to meet Brady. Andrew is staying here for the last weekend of turkey hunting. Lincoln hasn't been the best traveler lately and this will be my first time driving alone with all three of them since he has become this way so it should be interesting.
