TBall & Future Swim Stars

We started this week by having my family over for dinner Monday night. My mom has been too busy to cook, so I thought I would cook for them. It ended up being probably more of a hassle than anything because we had a big storm about the time we were supposed to eat and they were stuck at their house. I think they got 4 inches in just a couple of hours on the north side of town and we only had 1/4 inch on the south side. There was water everywhere on their way over to our house, but they did make it. The rain stuck around a little on Tuesday and Jackson's t-ball game was cancelled again. So that night, we surprised the kids and took them to see "Night at the Museum 2." We called my family to see if any of them wanted to go because several of them had mentioned wanting to see it and we ended up with Kaitlin, Caroline, Molly, and my parents. So my parents had a wonderful date for their anniversary which was also Tuesday. They were supposed to go out to eat at Pear Tree, but my dad had a patient in labor so they couldn't go out of town. I thought the movie was pretty good, but Andrew wasn't too interested. I think he may have just had too much on his mind. Things are moving along pretty slowly with his new office building and I think it is starting to wear on him. Hopefully we'll get started with construction sometime this summer. There are definitely more hoops to jump through when building commercial as compared to residential.

The rest of the week consisted of playing outside, making a bunch of cookies for Kaitlin and Zane's reception (Ellie was great help :) ) and a t-ball game on Thursday. The team we played against had some kids from our small group on it, so Ellie was excited their sisters were there and she had some kids to play with.

On Friday, I got a call from Heidi that her and the kids were in town and then they surprised us by showing up at Bridal & Formal while we were trying on dresses. I tried on my dress to get it altered so hopefully I don't grow much between now and the wedding. We got to see Kaitlin with her dress all done and her veil-she looks stunning. And I got to pick up my shoes which are the highest pair of heels I have ever worn-I'm so excited. I just hope I can make it down the aisle without breaking an ankle. Later that day, Sara and Bella got into town. Bella is such a cutie. Ellie totally agrees in that anytime she talks about Bella, she always says she is "tute." Saturday, we headed to my parents for some pool time. By the end, we had quite the party going. Sue, Niki, and Chase showed up and then Ann, Heidi, Brooke, and Tyler came by. It seemed like there were kids everywhere. Teresa even came over for a little bit with Tyson's youngest daughter.

After church on Sunday, the kids got a little more swimming in. My dad got in with them while I did a few other things and pretty soon both kids were swimming all around the pool with their floaties on. This is a huge change for Jackson and, of course, Ellie wants to do whatever Jackson is doing. They are both really enjoying the pool so far this year and we are so proud of them.

This week we have Vacation Bible School, which Jackson is really excited about. We'll have to find something fun for Ellie because she is not old enough yet and I think she is really going to feel left out. We also have a couple t-ball games and we get to take Molly and Heather to the airport in Kansas City so they can fly down to see Amanda, Todd, and Carson. I have some more cookies to make and we'll try to help with some wedding stuff-less than two weeks now! I know time is going to fly!
