Then Ellie and I got ready and headed to my parents for our pictures. Things were starting to get kind of dark at this point, but I really didn't think anything of it except it provided some relief from the sun. The backyard looked beautiful with everything ready for the ceremony. I really wished I would have gotten some pictures. Kaitlin's color were shades of blue and green and the decorations, flowers, and dresses looked so pretty with the green grass and the blue of the pool. Kaitlin was just stunning and I'm sure her pictures are going to look wonderful. We got a few pictures done, which inlcuded some unsuccessful attempts with all the ring bearers and flower girl. I was able to get a couple of Ellie and Jackson though.
Then we headed into the pool house to relax before the wedding began. It was kind of chaotic though. First we had all the little ones trying to escape and then came the news that a storm was blowing through. Kaitlin didn't know about it for a little while but the decision had to be made on what to do and I think she got a little panicked.
It was decided to start the wedding a little early and to cut down some of the songs. The candlelighters were going down the center aisle as the ushers were still seating people from the sides. I think we all walked a little faster than we had planned and the pastor, Joe Belzer, cut the sermon a little short, but it all worked out well. The incoming storm cooled things down a bit and it was pretty neat hearing the thunder roll in. It really felt like God was there. The ceremony was finished and we all got back down the aisle just as it was starting to sprinkle. The receiving line had to be cut out and Kaitlin and Zane didn't get to ride in the cool, old car, but they were married and I thought it was all very sweet. After some debating on what to do for pictures, we ended up heading to the reception with hopes that we would be able to get some there. It was just lightly sprinkling when we got there so while the guests ate, we finished taking pictures. It was quite the site-most of the girls had their shoes off because the heels were sinking into the muddy grass, the kids were fighting to play in the mud and water (little Miss Briley made it into a puddle though), and there was a lot of waiting while other pictures were being taken. But in the end, I think there were some good pictures taken and we finally got to go inside and eat and enjoy the reception.
As I said before, the reception site was beautiful. It was so neat to see my mom's vision come to life. She received a lot of compliments. It seemed like everyone was having a good time and after the wedding party got to eat and the toasts were made, the dancing began. Kaitlin surprised Zane with one of his favorite songs for their first dance, "Stolen" by Dashboard Confessional. 
Then came the father/daughter dance. All the little girls gathered around to watch and after a while they dispersed and there sat Ellie all by herself watching in wonder as her Papa and Kaitlin danced. It was so sweet. 
After all the initial dances were done, then the kids got out there. Jackson had quite the moves-the pictures don't show it, so hopefully the video will. He had a great time dancing with his cousin ColinEllie didn't want to be outdone and showed off some of her ballerina moves. 
Kaitlin and Zane had several surprise songs for different people throughout the night and one was "Kung Fu Fighting" for the ring bearers. Here is Jackson when he heard the song start. . .

The reception was a lot of fun, but eventually people started winding down for the night.
