Farwell Family Reunion

This past weekend we headed down to Cassville for the Farwell Family Reunion. We got in Friday late afternoon and went out for dinner with Andrew's family including his Granny B and Uncle Buzz. Jackson was very excited about going out to eat, because he remembered the restaurant from last year and knew it had an aquarium and a little indoor "pond" area with a few fish. Saturday morning we ate breakfast at McDonald's and they had a big play place. Jackson loved it. Ellie and Lauren just played around the bottom part. But after Lauren left, Ellie decided to venture further and before we knew it, she was at the top! That afternoon was the reunion and there were quite a few kids there this year. Jackson and Ellie had a great time just running around and having a good time. Ellie even snuck around and snatched a few oreos from the food table. How wonderful-oreos right within her reach. We spent some time hanging out at Granny B's and driving around. Andrew loves to visit all the places he used to hang out at as a kid. Saturday afternoon he took Jackson to Roaring River State Park to feed the fish at the fish hatchery and do a little hiking. I stayed at the hotel room with Ellie so she could take a much needed nap. We headed home Sunday morning. We had a great time getting to visit and hang out with everyone. Annie and Lauren are actually going to be in town the next couple of weeks while Brad is out of town on a mission trip and some youth stuff. Hopefully we'll be able to get the kids together.

Sunday was also Kaitlin's 22nd birthday. Jackson made me remind my parent's not to start the party without him. We headed over there for dinner and cake. Jackson was very concerned that Kaitlin didn't have any presents to unwrap, so he and my dad found some stuff in their basement and wrapped them up for Kaitlin-a stuffed bunny, a bag of jelly beans, and some ice skates-everything she could have ever wanted. We finished the evening with a little dip in the pool.

One last note, we are finally getting something done with the yard. They showed up today to do some grading and mow down the weeds. They are supposed to be bringing in the black dirt later today. We are very excited!
