Happy Father's Day to all you dads out there. The first thing Jackson said this morning when he got up was, "It's Father's Day!" He has been very excited to give Andrew his card and has kept it a secret for a couple weeks even with Andrew trying to get it out of him. It was an Indiana Jones card that you could record a message on and then it played the theme song. Jackson thought it was great. We also got him a new wallet and some cigars that he likes. I made him a chocolate mint bundt cake that has a chocolate glaze. I thought he would like it because he likes chocolate mint and cake, but isn't crazy about icing. We already did a taste test and both approve. Then tonight I'm making one of his favorite dinners-chicken scallopine. We had a storm blow through this afternoon. Our dirt was just about dry, so now we'll have to wait a little longer for the patio and yard. Andrew convinced us to all sit on the front porch and watch the rain for awhile. You could see the wind blowing the sheets of rain off on the horizon. It was neat to watch. But for now Andrew is at work. He tried to leave without Jackson noticing, but Jackson ran out after him when he heard the truck start up, so Andrew pulled back into the garage and took Jackson with him. These are my attempts to get a Father's Day picture. . .
This is Ellie's latest accessory
Yes, a snake. She likes to wear it as a belt or a necklace. She has also learned a new word since spending time with her cousins and having to learn to share- MINE.
