A Fun Week with Cousins

We got home from seeing Andy, Autumn, and Briley and got to spend a few days with Amanda, Carson, Sara, and Bella. Sara and Bella were here until Tuesday. Jackson has decided that he now likes baby girls-he was a little upset when he first heard Bella was a girl when she was born. He was always talking about how cute and sweet Bella was. Ellie really enjoyed her too. It was great to get to spend a little time with both of them. Amanda and Carson are here until Friday, so we have had fun justing hanging out with them. They got to go to one of Jackson's tee ball games the other night. Jackson put on quite a show for them. First he was pitcher, and he would just stand there. At one point, the ball came right to him. But it is hard to field it when your glove is on your head. So Andrew told him he needed to go after the balls, so the next inning he was chasing everything-even from across the field. He said he was going to "try his hardest" and he did. He had some good hits (but a little trouble finding first base). His team is quite amusing. The girls are definitely more attentive. They will pay attention and get the ball, they just take awhile throwing it to first. The boys are everywhere. There are two boys that just like to take off running to nowhere. Other than the tee ball game, the kids have just been playing together. They are really starting to entertain each other. We tried to get some pool time in yesterday, but it was cloudy most of the afternoon. We had them all over for dinner last night. Carson got to explore a new house and Jackson got to show everyone how he likes to jump from one piece of furniture to the next. So we have had a good time and will be sad to see everyone go. And we missed you Briley. Hopefully someday we will have all the grandkids together-on both sides. We haven't seen Lauren since Christmas and I'm sure she is just growing up. She turns two next week! Hopefully we'll get to see them at the Farwell Family Reunion in August.

I have to do a special slide show for Ellie's latest love-her sunglasses. We just got them the other day, but she wears them everywhere. I wish I had pictures of all of it. She wore them to Hy-Vee yesterday. She wore them at Dairy Queen the other night while drinking her shake. She was even wearing them this morning while she ate breakfast. She puts them on upside down most of the time. She is hilarious though.
