Farwell Family Reunion
This weekend we went down to Cassville for the Farwell Family Reunion. We got there Friday night and went out to eat with Andrew's family. Ellie and Lauren sat at the end of the table together. I wish I could have gotten a picture of them. They didn't pay that much attention to each other but they both were slapping the table and swinging their legs and had a great time. The next day we went to the reunion. Jackson found a new friend immediately. One of Andrew's cousins little boy, Lathan, was standing at the check-in table when we arrived and Jackson went right up to him and declared Lathan his friend. Lathan was confused at first and told him mom that Jackson wasn't his friend. But as soon as Jackson opened he backpack to reveal his toys, Lathan was Jackson's friend. They played all afternoon together. At the end of it I took a picture of them and Lathan told me, "When Jackson looks at that picture he will miss me." So sweet. That evening we went to Roaring River State Park where they have fish hatcheries and areas where you can feed this fish. Jackson really enjoyed it. Overall we had a good weekend. It was great to let Granny B see the kids. She enjoys them so much even though neither of them would get near. Ellie is still very attached to her mom but Brad and Mary were able to get ahold of her-you have to do it indirectly and you have to have something she wants.
So now we are on to packing up the house. There is an inspection tomorrow and if that goes well, then it is time to get moving.

I've always been a fan of jackson's strategy for making friends :) Straight to the point...even if they are "mean kid friends."
