We have had a pretty laid back week-just getting things caught up from being gone and getting more stuff ready for Lincoln's arrival. I got our bags packed for the hospital and we brought up the cradle from storage and get it ready to go in our room. Jackson and Ellie helped me bring out some of the "toys" yesterday. They were both very excited about the playmat and once we got some new batteries in it, they both played with it for awhile. I got the car seat out and readjusted the straps to fit a little newborn and it is ready to go in the car. I think we'll just have Andrew put it in and rearrange the other seats once Lincoln gets here. But even with all the preparation it may still be awhile before he does decide to come. I had an appointment on Tuesday and I was only dialated 2, which is fine because my doctor is out of town this weekend and my dad is going to be gone on Sunday. Jackson and Ellie are both anxiously awaiting Lincoln's arrival though. They have both been able to feel him move, which was neat.
After we finished getting stuff ready yesterday, we headed to my parents because an old friend, Ryan Morrill, was in town with his family. Ryan was one of the people who helped get K-Life started in Kirksville. We haven't seen him in probably 10-12 years and it was fun to meet his wife and two boys. The boys, Cooper and Spencer, are 3 and 5 and our kids had a great time playing with them. They just played around the yard and then got to go swimming. The rest of us just visited and had some Paglia's out by the pool. They were headed up to Minnesota to visit some friends so it was a quick visit.
One last note, check out http://www.missprissiness.wordpress.com Lissy had a really cute post on there this morning.
