Today we finally tried out the new church in town, The Crossing. It is a church that was originally started in Quincy and a group from Kirksville started up a satellite church here. Part of what really drew me in was that the pastor is Joe Belzer. Joe used to be the pastor for Campus Christian Fellowship at Truman, which was were I attended during college. He is a great pastor and a great person and I was excited that he took on this position. The kids enjoyed it. The first thing that caught their attention was a big jungle gym area that they got to play in for just a little bit before church. Then they each went to their own room. Ellie didn't even notice that we left-she just jumped right in playing with everything. Jackson was more used to it since he had gone to children's church at our church. Each kid was assigned a number and if they needed us, they would flash the number on the screen in the main church room. I enjoyed the worship part but the sermon was actually a video feed from the church in Quincy. I think I would like to hear Joe speak a little more. So we'll have to see where we go from here.
Here are a couple pictures of some of our Christmas decs and a little video I forgot to put on earlier. Matthew and Kristin gave Ellie a little piano/radio toy that plays a few different songs and the kids love to dance to it. As soon as one song was finished they would start another one and start dancing again. These aren't even Ellie's best dance moves in the actual clip
