I didn't do a good job of keeping track of what we did this past week so we'll see what I can remember. We received several pictures throughout the week from Molly. She got settled into her new apartment and had some meetings for her new job at Disney World-working in Fantasyland. Mickey Mouse even came to one of their meetings to give them their ears and their name tag. She doesn't actually start until tomorrow so she has been enjoying the parks with her roommates. With her work id, she is able to get into the parks whenever she wants :-). Her pictures are getting the kids excited to go there in just a little over a month.
We stayed busy with our usual activities this week but not much else. I did pick out some carpet and have a call in with the store to see if they can get me a better price. Andrew is much better at negotiating than I am but I thought I would give it a try. I was actually nervous about it. I guess we'll see if I was successful. The contractor that built our house, Andy, came by and we worked out a plan for a built-in he is going to make to replace our worn down armoire that holds our TV. I'm excited to see how it all turns out. I also tried to get a jump start on designing some stuff. I actually have an invitation designed for Ellie's birthday even though it isn't until November. I am trying to keep my word on getting this stuff early and since we are stuck inside, now is a good time to do it. I am hoping to get a better idea of other decorations for her party this week and design whatever else I may need. I know I will still have to do some stuff closer to the actual party, but it will be nice to have some stuff done. Then I also went ahead and did the kids' Valentine cards. Jackson and Lincoln both wanted ninjas, so I was able to use basically the same idea/design for theirs with just a few changes in colors. Theirs say "Hope you have a kickin' Valentine's Day". Ellie wanted to do something with gymnastics, so she thought hers could say "Happy Flippin' Valentines Day". :-). I decided we should change it up a bit.
After a week of having some sort of activity every day, Friday was a lazy evening. We just hung out at home and watched some movies. Sometimes we don't know what to do with nights like that.

Jackson had his basketball game first thing Saturday morning. It took a little bit for him to warm up, but he does enjoy it. The twins weren't on their best behavior again so that is always a bunch of fun. Sometimes they like to lay out on the court just to cause problems.
We had a couple of hours at home in between games and Andrew and I decided last minute to take a quick trip down to Columbia after Ellie's game. We checked with my parents and they were fine with watching the kids. So I tried to get the rest of the laundry through real quick and make sure the house was picked up before we left and then headed to Ellie's game. She is catching onto the game and enjoys it too. She didn't get to play too much though. They are supposed to change out players in the middle of each quarter, but it seemed like they did it closer to the end of the quarter, then they would call quarter, and then the first group of kids would go back in to begin the next quarter. She just happened to be in the second group that would go in part way through the quarter and it seems like they only got to play a couple minutes each quarter. She didn't seem to notice though.

After the game, we dropped off the kids at my parents and then I convinced Andrew to let me go back by the house to pick up some coupons and then we were on our way. Neither of us had time to get lunch in between games, so we picked up some AJ's on our way through Macon and just shared a sandwich. When we first go into town, we went by the Ultramax store and did the "gaitology" to figure out what running shoes would be best for us. It was kind of odd. We had to do things like stand on one foot and do a squat. They also looked at our feet (barefoot) and ankles and then had us run barefoot on the treadmill for a little bit while they filmed us with an iPad. They told me a couple things I may want to do to correct my running form and then I tried on a few different shoes. Andrew wasn't going to do anything but decided to go ahead and try it. His hip is bothering him right now and my dad told him he shouldn't do anything for 6-8 weeks so he is kind of out of commission for a little while. I liked the different shoes I tried on but finally picked out a pair. Andrew told him before he did it that he probably wouldn't be getting anything right then since the ones he had were still doing okay. I hated spending that much on the shoes but then I discovered that I wouldn't have been able to get them much cheaper online anyways. I will need to keep an eye out for when they bring out a newer model and hopefully I will be able to get the older model a little cheaper. After the running store, we picked up the suits Andrew had bought a couple weeks earlier and had to get tailored. He also had another one come in that he had to get fitted. Then I went to a couple of the kids clothing stores and found some great deals while Andrew went to Barnes and Noble. He met me at Target and only lasted a few minutes before he headed out to the car. He hates shopping! And even when I don't have the kids with me, I still dislike shopping for myself. The only thing I bought for myself at the mall was a pair of socks. After the mall we headed to Sophia's to eat dinner. We were joking that things were much different for us the last time we ate there together. We used to go there when we lived in Columbia, before we had kids. It is still a busy place and we had to wait around a 1/2 hour to get our table. It was delicious though. I love my kids dearly but it was nice to have a dinner without the twins screaming and throwing down their food and Lincoln crying because he didn't want to eat. And I didn't have to cook or clean up afterwards which was nice. After dinner, we made a last stop at Sam's to pick up some essentials before we headed home. Even though it was a quick trip, we really enjoyed it and it was a nice break.
While we were in Columbia, the kids enjoyed their time at my parents. Ellie convinced my mom to do some sewing with her. She loved it! They made a sleeping bag for Bunny and have plans to do more for her dolls. When we get a chance, she is going to try and embroider Bunny's name on the sleeping bag. They got to watch some movies, play games, and make cookies. We got home a little after ten and were excited to give Miles and Bennett a surprise we picked up for them-some aviator glasses. They liked them but I think we need to get a pair for Lincoln too.
Sunday was a "nicer"day. The temperatures up but there was a good breeze. We went to early service, then I went grocery shopping. When I got home, Andrew headed to the office and the kids headed outside to play. At one point it was boys against girls while the boys had their swords, sticks, and Nerf guns. They also spent a little time playing basketball. Then that night we headed to my parents for dinner. Ellie also got to do a little more sewing. She is making a scarf.
Andrew and I also dropped off his truck to have it repaired this week. His mom accidentally backed into it last week and the driver's side of the bed is damaged along with the tail light busted out. They think it will take all week to fix so Andrew is borrowing the Skittle, Molly's car :-). Actually I think he will take mine a lot but we have it here too if we need it. He just loves using Molly's key with her Vera Bradley id holder and everything else attached to it :-).
