A Few Moments

I wanted to do a quick post of what we have been up to the past few days.  We were working the fireworks stand during my last post and we ended up having around 10 transactions.  Not too bad for a rainy day and still a week before you could shoot anything off.  Since then I have been busy getting ready for vacation while the kids have had fun being kids.

They have so much fun playing outside with the other kids in the neighborhood.  We did have some rain on Monday though, which sent them inside.  We had free movie channels last weekend, so I recorded a few movies for the kids which came in handy on the rain day.  We were supposed to have two ball games Monday night-Ellie ata 6 in Brashear and Jackson at 7:30 in Novinger.  With the storm we had go through, Ellie's game was canceled.  But Jackson's was still on which I was thankful about since it was going to be his last one since we are going to be gone for a few days.  Our friend, Sharon, has offered to watch the kids for us again and again.  So I took her up on it for the games on Monday.  I thought it would just be too long of a night for the twins.  Since Ellie's game was canceled, she ended up staying and so did Lincoln.  Andrew and I joked that it was like a date night since-except it was at the Novinger ball park.  He did buy me a KitKat though.  Jackson's team had one of their best games which was awesome for them.  It did go about two hours though. 

On Tuesday the kids spent some time outside trying to catch rabbits.  They had some carrots, a net, and a leash.  I don't think it worked.  They did "rescue" a nest of baby birds later though.  They are currently in the LaBeth's garage.  Tiffany researched what to feed them and the kids have been trying to take care of them.  The kids also decided to do a rendition of Cinderella.  They all got dressed up for the part and also spent most of the afternoon putting on makeup.  Lincoln wanted to get dressed up too but thought he would just use his Batman costume from a couple of years ago.  It was a 2T so the pants came up to his knees.  He loved it though and has been wearing it all the time since.  Later that afternoon he was telling how Batman was awesome.  I agreed and asked if he wanted take the outfit off since it was hot.  Then he said, "Okay.  Lincoln is awesome too."  He did take it off for Ellie's ballgame too, but he put on a cape for that.

Ellie had her last game Tuesday night.  She was sad that her ball season was over.  Faith actually told her that she wished she could be done too but she still had a few more games.  Ellie told her, "Give me your costume and I'll play for you." :-).  Since it was officially her last game, each player got a medal for their participation.

Wednesday morning I took the kids over to my parents and she was nice enough to watch them for me while I got a pedicure.  It has been close to a year since my last one and I actually like getting them done.  It can tickle, even hurt, a little but my feet look so much better afterwards.  And I love the massage chairs.  So after I was done, I washed the car, ran by the bank, and made a quick trip to Wal-Mart.  Then that afternoon we did some swimming.  Batman had to lounge before he started swimming though.

After swimming, we headed home so I could actually make dinner.  It seems like I have hardly made dinner this past month with our schedule.  We were able to use some of my freezer meals which was nice.  It is hard to believe the 4th of July is almost here.  Before we know it, it will be time to buy school supplies and make the kids go to bed before 10.
