Three of her friends, Kate, Katelyn, and Gracie, are in her class which is a lot of fun. Gracie's mom, Tiffany, and I took our first dance class together when we were their age. Ellie loved all of it and Lissy was nice enough to come and take some pictures for me. She has some of them on her blog and I love them.
After Ellie's class we had to get home, eat dinner and clean the house because we were having our first small group of the year. Andrew and I are leading it this year which has required a little extra preparation. We have a great group this year which also includes 11 kids. One of the couples in our group has a 14-year-old daughter who kindly offered to watch all the kids for us and she did an awesome job. The basement was even clean when it was all done.I also spent all day Wednesday packing up to go on vacation at the Lake of the Ozarks with Andrew's family. Andrew's parents rented a beautiful lake house. Matthew was also able to borrow a jet ski from a friend and everyone had a great time on it. Jackson and Ellie went out several times and loved it.
Even Ashlyn went out on it and thought it was great.
The second day we were there I did a little shopping and while I was gone, they attached the tube to the back of the jet ski and everyone went tubing. The kids were a little unsure about it though.

Lincoln just got to watch all the action.
When I went to the Lake as a kid we always did go karts and putt-putt. So we thought we would try it with out kids. Well things are a little more run-down now and being that the summer was over, we were about the only ones out there doing this stuff. Ellie looks as nervous as I did when I was little about doing the go-karts. She kept looking at us as she was going around the corner and running into the side. Jackson also got stuck behind her and couldn't get around her. I think he had fun, just got a little annoyed.
We tried to do bumper cars but Jackson wasn't big enough to drive one by himself so Andrew would have to ride with him and that would mean there would just be one bumper car out there without anyone else to bump. So we headed on to the putt-putt. We moved quickly and skipped a couple of holes but worked out well for the kids. They both got a hole-in -one and were very excited. 
Of course you have to get his picture.
The next morning we were heading out to swim when some ducks swam up. So we got some bread and fed them breakfast.
Lincoln got to watch from the house with Granny and Papa.
The kids had a lot of fun just playing around in the pool. Jackson thinks he is pretty cool.
That night we headed out to Miner Mike's and finally found some bumper cars for Jackson and Ellie. They thought they were pretty awesome. They also played some arcade games and rode a little ferris wheel. There was also a small roller coaster that Jackson originally wanted to ride but then he chickened out. 
Then too quickly we had to pack up to head back to Kirksville. But Lincoln and Ashlyn played a little hide-and-seek around the columns first.
And we tried to get some family pictures real quick before we left. Mary took some of all us kids and then we tried to get some of the grandkids.

We got back into Kirksville in time for me to head to a funeral for Tiffany and Tisha's grandpa, Basil. It was a sad, but sweet service. Then it was home for all the unpacking and laundry before I took the kids to a K-Life softball game they were doing for a fundraiser. Leah and her kids met us there. It wasn't much but they did have some games for the kids to play and the weather was beautiful so I am glad we went.
