Let Summer Begin!!!

I really meant to do this post earlier, but I started feeling bad Monday morning and was out of commission for a couple of days with some sort of flu. I am feeling much better now-no I'm not pregnant. Last week was Jackson's last week of school. He also started tee ball and now has games every Tuesday and Thursday for six weeks.

Lincoln was being silly. Jackson had a full week of fun at school. They had a water play day where they brought out sprinklers and a big water slide. Another day was ice cream day and they made their own ice cream. Then next was track and field day and then on Friday they had their school picnic. When I dropped Jackson off at school on Friday, his teacher asked Ellie if she wanted to stay because it was only going to be a couple of hours before I was back to take them to the picnic. Ellie got this huge grin on her face and was so excited. Jackson had a great year and we will really miss his teachers next year. They have a great sense of humor and had a lot of fun with Jackson along with really moving him along with his education.
Here is the group praying before lunch.
Then after school Tiffany and her kids had us over for a Last Day of School Party. She had a cute table set up with luau-type decorations and fun treats for the kids. She also set up a sprinkler, slip-n-slide, volleyball and water guns for the kids to play with.
Of course they ended up in the sand box after getting all wet. They said it was like being at the beach.
Then from there we headed over to my parents for dinner. Andy and his family and Lissy were back in town for the weekend. Lissy and Jackson had to have their dance-off so Jackson could get Grover back. Jackson and Ellie headed out to the ranch Saturday morning, Jackson had a birthday party for a friend in the afternoon and then they spent the rest of the day swimming. Andrew spent some time at the office and he and the kids went swimming after dinner and stayed in until 10/10:30 so we decided to just stay the night at my parents. My dad made us pancakes for breakfast the next morning, then it was off to church, lunch, and more swimming. Jackson has become quite the fish and loves swimming under water. He has improved so much over last year. He can even do a backwards somersault under the water.
I ended up with hardly any pictures of the weekend, but here is one of little Baylor snoozing.
Monday morning we headed out to the ranch with Lissy and Caroline to get some family pictures taken. Lissy did a great job and I am really excited about them. These were just a few she had put on her blog. I can't decide which one I want to go over our fireplace-I love them all.
And this picture is of Lissy and Caroline riding on a bench in the back of Andrew's truck because we were going down some dirt "road" to find a certain bridge and the ruts were too big and deep for Lissy's car. At one point there was a big crevice in the road where it had washed out. Luckily there was a pipe running under it so we all got out of the truck, climbed onto the pipe to get over the big hole and trekked another 100 yards or so (Andrew was carrying the bench at this point) to find the bridge. It was really neat but it also had big piles of dirt on either side of it I am guessing to keep people from driving over it. Oh what fun. Lissy and Caroline were such troopers-THANKS. And it was soon after we got back from doing the pictures that I started feeling bad again (I didn't feel too well before we headed out) and I checked out for the rest of the day. We were supposed to go to Andrew's parent's for dinner but I ended up in bed sleeping while Andrew took the kids. I do have one last picture of Lincoln helping me empty the dishwasher. He is so helpful.
